KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Park University senior middle hitter Aigline Yoke was named to the NAIA Honorable Mention All-America squad by the national headquarters in Kansas City, Mo.
Yoke was the NAIA’s third-most prolific hitter in 2007, recording 532 kills in 1,041 attempts, committing only 76 attacking errors to hit .438 for the season. She was also the MCAC’s top hitter and led the league in kills per game at 4.63.
Yoke played in 115 games on the season, helping guide the Pirates to an 18-13 overall record and a 7-7 finish in league play. She had eight 20-plus kill outings, including a stretch in late October and early November that saw the senior combine for 66 kills in three matches.
She also had 56 kills during a two-match swing in October, posting 27 against William Jewell and guiding the team to a 3-2 win over Baker with a season- and career-high 29 kills.
She hit .500 or better in 16 of the team’s 31 matches, including a .750 mark against Missouri Valley, which topped a list of five matches of .600 or better.
Yoke, who came to Park from Paris, France, was also an Academic All-American this season in addition to All-MCAC and All-Region IV.
