Kansas City, Mo.— The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released its 2008 Division I Women's Basketball All-Americans and Park University’s Ashley Birch was named to the All-American Honorable Mention Team.

The Kansas City, Kan. native finished the 2007-08 season with 482 total points, averaging 16.1 points per game to lead the Pirates. Birch led the squad and the Independent league with 110 steals on the year and averaged 6.9 rebounds per game. She logged in over 730 minutes in 30 total appearances and 26 starts.

In addition to being an All-American honorable mention, Birch also racked up several other prestigious honors in the 2007-08 season. Birch was the Independent Region Player of the Year, in addition to being on the All-Academic team. The senior was also an Independent Region Player of the Week on three separate occasions.
