2008-09 –
Hayes started her first season for the Pirates out with a bang, by scoring 11 points and grabbing 23 rebounds in the, 67-53, season opening win against McKendree…for her efforts in that game, Hayes was named the NAIA’s Association of Independent Institutions Athlete of the Week, for the week ending November 3, 2008…Hayes had two other double-figure rebounding games on the year and four other contests in which she scored more than 11 points…The Kansas City, Mo. native registered a double-double in the, 68-65, victory over Ottawa, has she scored 19 points and grabbed 11 boards…Had a solid year from the free-throw line, shooting 24-of-37, for a .649 percentage…Averaged 6.2 points and 6.4 rebounds on the year…Appeared in 17 games and started in 13 for the Pirates and averaged 21.5 minutes per game…Hayes was the second leading rebounder behind graduating senior Meghan Cummings.

PERSONAL – Has three younger siblings…enjoys dancing, singing and watching television…attended Hickman Mills High School in Kansas City, Mo…helped lead the Lady Cougars to a conference championship and a fourth placing at the state tournament...majoring in Criminal Justice.
