PERSONAL - Shareikka Theus-Downey was born in Joplin, Mo., and is the daughter of Sherry and Dave Jackson…Played both Volleyball and Basketball for Park in 2008-09…Chose to attend Park after being recruited by Emporia State, Texas College and Bacone…Was also a Pirate at Independence Community College in Independence, Kan., where she played both volleyball and basketball…In high school, lettered in volleyball, basketball and track, where she was a four-year qualifier in track and also the team’s newcomer of the year…On the basketball court, earned the team’s Hustle Award and was selected for the area All-Star game in 2006…Was named the volleyball team’s Offensive Player of the Year as a senior and helped the team to district and conference titles in 2006.
