2008 - Mergen was a consistent defensive threat for Park in 2008, appearing in 17 games and starting in 14 of those contests. The MCAC Second-Team selection helped lead the defense to post six shutout victories on the year and seven shutouts overall. The transfer out of Hastings College, also attempted three shots on the year, Mergen was also a vital part in Park’s four game stretch of shutout victories over Oklahoma Wesleyan, No. 3 Southern Nazarene, Central Christian and Westminster College.
