2010 – Played in all 19 games, staring in 10, with a goal and two assists while primarily contributing to the Pirates’ defensive efforts in the 2010 season…Helped Park hold opponents to 22 goals on the year, outscoring the opposition 60-22…Registered her only goal in the season’s third game, helping the Pirates overcome an upset bid from Midland Lutheran College, 3-2…Assisted on a goal that helped Park earn a 1-1 draw at Baker University and had another assist in conference play, at Harris-Stowe State University in October…Took 19 shots and placed eight on goal…Was an academic all-conference honoree and earned the AMC’s defensive player of the week nod on Oct. 18 following a 1-0-1 week with a shutout win over Hannibal-LaGrange… 2009 - Appeared in all 18 games with 12 starts without a goal, but did record four assists...Took 22 shots and put eight on goal...Helped Park’s defense hold opponents to 10 goals in 2009 and was part of a defense that recorded 11 shutouts...Picked up a pair of assists in a pair of games against Harris-Stowe State University (Oct. 19 and Nov. 6)...Had two shots on goal against Benedictine in September...PERSONAL - J’vonelle Patrice Simpson was born in Kingston, Jamaica and is the daughter of Megan Watson, a cosmetologist...Has seven siblings…Played for Jamaica’s U-20 national team...Chose Park to further her education and play soccer...Comes to the Pirates from Camperdown High School in Kingston where she played for coaches Patrick Dunkley, Janise Campbell-Lee and Vin Blaine...Helped the team to five Knockout championships and the 2006 Premier League title...Was the Browns Town FC rookie of the year in 2003 and the most outstanding player for Camperdown in 2008...Has not decided on a major...Nickname is "Chin"...Off-the-field hobbies include listening to music and interacting with peers...A cousin, Wavel Hinds, played cricket for the West Indies Cricket Team.
