Indoor 2009 - Tutu took home first-place in the 500-meter race at the Highland Invitational with a time of 1:24.36...Placed 13th at the Mule Relays in the 600-Yard run with a time of 1:35.01.
Outdoor 2009 - Finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.09 at the Mule Relays on April 17...Placed sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.15 at the Gorilla Classic.
Cross Country 2008- Took 63rd at the nationally recognized Southern Stampede race on September 20...Finished 11th and helped Park to a fourth place team finish at the ESU Jock’s Nitch Invitational on October 3...Placed second at the MCAC Championship race on November 1, helping lead the Pirates to its fourth straight NAIA National Championship race...At the NAIA championship race in Kenosha Wisconsin, Tutu ran a time of 20:08, good for 243rd place.
Cross Country 2007- Led Park with a second place finish and a time of 11:59.13 at the Baker Invitational…Took 20th at the Emporia State Invitational…Placed third at the MCAC meet…Took seventh at the Regional meet.
Indoor 2008- In her first Indoor event as a Pirate, Tutu helped lead the women’s distance medley team to a first place finish and new school record at the Jayhawk Classic…Broke the school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19.21, at the Mule Relays…Finished tenth in the women’s 800-meter run at the NAIA Indoor Championships.
Outdoor 2008- In the first Outdoor event of the season, Tutu ran for a first place finish in the 800-meter run…At the Kansas Relays, Tutu ran a personal best time of 2:18.89 for a seventh place finish in the women’s 800-meter run…Helped knock off a school record in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 9:18.77, at the 2008 NAIA Outdoor Championships.
Personal- Born on April 24, 1989 to Amina and Phillip Tutu…also recruited by Missouri State and UMKC…ran for Oak Park High School under head coach Todd Warner…enjoys cooking and art.
