Indoor 2009 - One of the greatest 800-meter runners in the history of Park University, Nicolls is the school record holder in the 800-meter run in both the indoor and outdoor books...Nicolls ran the fastest 800-meter time of any Pirate in 2009, with a time of 2:20.55, which also won the event at the UCM Indoor Classic...Took home first-place in the 1500-meter race with a time of 5:13.77 at the Highland Invitational on January 31.
Outdoor 2009 - In the semifinal heat of the 800-meter race at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships, Nicolls ran a time of 2:15.24 which broke Park’s 20 year 800-meter record set by Sondra Ellis in 1989, who ran the race in 2:16.00. Nicolls finished in sixth-place in her heat that day...Nicolls also took first-place in the Mule Relays with a time of 2:17.89 on April 17 and placed first in the 800 with a time of 2:18.86 at the Missouri Southern Invitational on April 24.
Cross Country 2008- Ran a terrific time of 19:17 and earned MCAC Runner of the Year honors for the second straight year...Against some strong NCAA Division I competition, finished in 16th place with a time of 20:40 at the KU Invitational on August 30...In one of the premiere races of the year, placed 34th with a time of 18:49 at the Southern Stampede meet on September 20...Finished a team best seventh place at the ESU Jock’s Nitch Invitaional with a time of 18:55 on October 3.
Cross Country 2007- Earned MCAC Runner of the Year honor…Ran a lifetime best 18:32 to win the Region IV women’s cross country meet…Placed fifth at the Baker Invitational, helping the Pirates place second overall…Took seventh at the Emporia State Invitational.
Indoor 2008- Took third in the 1000 meters at 3:09.44 at the Jawyawk classic…Placed first in the 1000 meters at the Scottie Open, with a time of 3:10.48…Broke the Park indoor school record in the 800 meters with a time of 2:19.77 at the Mule Relays. The previous record was held by Crystal Bethel , who ran a time of 2:20.0 in 2003…Broke her own record in the 800 meters at the 2008 NAIA Indoor Championships, with a time of 2:17.97.
Outdoor 2008- Took first in the 1500-meter at the Emporia State Spring Twilight meet…Finished first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:23.18 and first in the 1500 meters at the Baker Invitational…Ran a lifetime best in the 1500 meters at 4:47.04 for an 11th place finish...Apart of the school record breaking 4x800 meter relay team with a time of 9:18.77.
Personal- Born on May 6, 1988 to Icelyn and Roman Nicolls in Nassau, Bahamas…majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry…hobbies include listening to music, dancing, reading and hanging out with friends.
