Indoor 2009 - In just his first season competing with the Pirates, Chirchir ran the fastest time of any Park athlete all season in the one mile run, with a time of 4:35.46, good for 12th place at the Mule Relays back on February 7...He also ran the third fastest 800-meter time with a mark of, 2:09.17, good for 11th place at the Highland Invitational on January 31.
Outdoor 2009 - Chirchir ran the fastest 1500-meter race of any Pirate, with a time of 4:15.87, at the Mule Relays on April 17...Ran a time of, 4:17.85 in the 1500-meter at the Darrel Gourley Open on April 4.
