Letter to Fans: Coach Efrem Shimlis

Dear Pirate Soccer Fans,

First of all I wanted to take a few minutes out and thank all of you for your continued support of the men’s and women’s soccer teams this season. Both squads have had amazing season’s and now post season has finally arrived.

Now more than ever we need your support. Our men’s soccer team has been selected to face Baker University this Saturday, November 22 at Emil S. Liston Stadium in Baldwin City, Kan. at 7:00 p.m. We are so fortunate to have been selected to a site that is only 45 minutes away. We could have been placed anywhere in the nation.

All we ask now is for our fans to take advantage of this and come watch two elite soccer programs battle for a spot in the NAIA National Tournament in Fresno, Calif.

Our team has always been motivated by our fans support and we would really appreciate a large turnout this Saturday. Tickets for all students with a Park ID is only $3 and for adults its $8.

Baker will bring a very large crowd to its stadium and we have to answer their cheers with the pride of Park’s wonderful fans. So come out and wear your Cardinal and Gold Park gear and prove that we have the best soccer fans in the nation.

Some of my most memorable moments as a player for Park were seeing the enthusiasm and support of the fans, there’s nothing better than to hear the roar of your home crowd when you step out onto the field.

Thank you again for all that you do for the Park University Athletic Department and we hope to see you all on Saturday night.

Sincerely,

Coach Efrem Shimlis
