2007— A Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and MCAC Scholar-Athlete…on the field, was a Region IV All-Region Second-Team selection and MCAC Second-Team at the midfielder position…started in all 19 games, logging in over 1,500 minutes…scored one goal and added one assist…took 29 shots, placing 17 on frame for a .586 shot-on-goal percentage. 2006—Played in 21 games, earning the starting nod in 20 of those games…scored seven goals and had three assists…earning 17 total points on the year…took 28 shots, placing 14 of them on net…three of seven goals were game winners…earned Honorable Mention All-American, Daktronics-NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete, First-Team All-MCAC, MCAC Scholar Athlete and MCAC Defensive Player of the Week of Oct. 23. 2005—Transferred from Risedale College. Personal—Dena Pires was born Nov. 9…daughter of Joe and Lora Pires…has two sisters, Nicole (26) and Danielle (22)…attended Rutland Senior Secondary for High School in Kelowna, B.C… is majoring in athletic training/sports medicine…chose to attend Park because of its diversity…favorite hobbies include wakeboarding and snowboarding.
