John Bartholomew

Bartholomew enters his 30th year in the athletic training field within college athletics as of Fall 2024. He officially started at Park on August 1, 2022. He completed his undergraduate studies at South Dakota State and received his Masters at Indiana State University.

He has a familiarity with the NAIA and the Heart of America Athletic Conference, working for the past seven years at Missouri Valley College as an exercise science professor and athletic trainer for Missouri Valley’s rodeo team. While in this role, he also was a PRN for Missouri Valley athletic training.

Before Missouri Valley, he held the head athletic trainer position at Graceland University for 14 years and worked with the Yellowjackets’ 2006 NAIA National Championship Men’s Soccer team.

His first stop working in college athletics was at NJCAA school, Neosho County Community College. He was the head athletic trainer for six years and saw the Cougars win a men’s wrestling national championship.

He gained valuable experiences working with the Iowa Stars, a team within the American Hockey League, and did a summer rotation at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center. He is a certified strength coach and personal trainer to round off his skillsets and knowledge that he brings to the table.
