PARKVILLE, Mo. – For the eleventh straight year, the Park University men’s volleyball team has qualified for the NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Invitational Tournament Championship.
Jake Penolio will play in his third NAIA Men's Volleyball National Championship Tournament next week.
The tournament will be played in Davenport, Iowa on the campus of St. Ambrose University from Thursday, April 22 through Saturday, April 24.
The Pirates will be the No. 6 seed and have qualified along with host school and No. 4 seed St. Ambrose as well as, No. 1 seed California Baptist, No. 2 Hope International (Calif.), No. 5 Cardinal Stritch (Wisc.) and No. 3 Missouri Baptist.
Park will be placed in Pool A with No. 1 Cal Bap and No. 3 Missouri Baptist. Park will play California Baptist on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. and Mo Bap on Friday afternoon at 12:30 p.m.
The winner of Pool A will then play at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and the second-place team in Pool A will play Friday night at 7:00 p.m.
The NAIA National Championship match will take place Saturday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m.
