Box Score: Park 3 – Graceland 1
PARKVILLE, Mo. – Despite a 27 kill performance by Graceland’s Anthony Robinson, the Yellowjackets couldn’t prevail against the Park University men’s volleyball team and lost to the Pirates in four sets, (30-26, 30-25, 28-30, 30-27).
Erick Albuquerque led Park with 19 kills on Tuesday night.
Park defeated Graceland for the third time this year and improved its overall record to 20-9 and 11-1 in MAMVIC West action.
The Yellowjackets fell to 5-18 on the year, and 2-9 in conference play. Robinson had over half of his team’s kills on the night and even had eight digs of his own.
Leading the way for the Pirates on Tuesday night was Erick Albuquerque who had a team high 19 kills and a team leading 10 digs.
The match lasted 2 hours and 12 minutes and freshman setter Felix Horn had 53 of Park’s 59 assists.
Park’s regular season has ended and the Pirates will enter the 2010 MAMVIC West Conference Tournament on April 9-10 in Denver, Colo., as the No. 1 seed.
