PARKVILLE, Mo. – The Park University men’s volleyball will play in its final home match of the season this Tuesday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. against Graceland University.
Fray Luis Fajardo Arteaga and the Pirates will play in their final home match of the season on Tuesday.
The Pirates are 19-9 overall on the year and 10-1 in MAMVIC West play, while the Yellowjackets enter the game with a record of 5-17 and 2-8 in the conference.
Park has already defeated Graceland twice this season including a four game win a few days ago on March 26 at the Clarke College Tournament.
The Pirates had a terrific tournament last weekend at the Clarke Invitational. The Pirates went 3-1 on the weekend defeating Hannibal-LaGrange, Graceland and Clarke College and lost a tough four game match to conference opponent Missouri Baptist.
In the new NAIA national rankings the Pirates have jumped up from No. 7 to No. 6. After defeating Clarke College, Park moved into the sixth slot while CC moved to No. 7.
California Baptist is No.1, while Hope International comes in at No.2. Cardinal Stritch University is No. 3 this week, No. 4 spot goes to St. Ambrose University and fellow MAMVIC West competitor Missouri Baptist is in at the No. 5 spot.
Six teams will qualify for the 2010 NAIA National Invitational Championship Tournament on April 22-24 in Davenport, Iowa.
The Pirates will enter their final home match of the season with a 5-1 record at home.
