PARKVILLE, Mo. – The Park University men’s volleyball team picked up two big wins Saturday afternoon over Hannibal-LaGrange College and Clarke College at the Clarke College Invitational Tournament.
Philip Heckmann had five service aces on the day for Park.
Park defeated Hannibal-LaGrange in five games on Saturday morning, (26-30, 30-27, 32-30, 31-33. 15-7.)
The Pirates defeated tournament host school Clarke in four games, (30-19, 30-18, 24-30, 30-28).
In match number one against the Trojans, Fray Luis Fajardo Arteaga had 28 kills and posted a hitting percentage of .558, he also had 14 digs.
Captains Jake Penolio and Erick Albuquerque had 12 kills each and younger brother Zach Penolio had seven blocks.
In the second match of the day for the Pirates, freshman setter Felix Horn had four service aces and a stellar 54 assists.
Freshman Kalani Rose had nine digs and Albuquerque added eight digs of his own.
Park will now take part in their final home match of the season this Tuesday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. against Graceland University.
