PARKVILLE, Mo. | Park University head soccer coach Efrem Shimlis reloaded his roster for the upcoming 2012 season by signing nine recruits and added some depth to a team that is looking for its first AMC tournament championship under its head coach and eighth national tournament appearance in his 12 years at the helm.
Shimlis signed four players from Chile and five from Brazil and Shimlis feels this class of student-athletes can get them back on the national stage.
"We are asking this class to come in and make an immediate impact," Shimlis said. "It is a dynamic group that is full of players at nearly every position. They have big shoes to fill from those impactful seniors we lost a year ago, but I have full confidence that they can do it."
Richard Osterloh (Sao Paulo, Brazil) is a junior forward that played one season at NCAA Division II Mars Hill College and was voted conference freshman of the year. Last season he played at NCAA Division I Louisville.
