Tyler Price 2010-11 – Park’s leading 3-point shooter in 2010-11, knocked down 49 long-range jumpers and had seven double-digit scoring outings…Matched his career-high with 25 points in a double-overtime loss to Evangel and had 15 points in a pair of conference games, wins over Hannibal-LaGrange and Williams Baptist…Had seven made 3-point baskets against Evangel and added five more in the win over WBC…Scored 11 points and hit three from beyond the arc in Park’s NAIA national tournament loss to Mountain State…Went 67-of-192 from the floor and 49-of-145 from beyond the arc…Went to the foul line 15 times with 11 makes and had 38 rebounds…Had 25 steals and 23 assists. 2009-10 – Appeared in 32 games, leading the team in 3-point shooting by knocking down 56 of his 72 field goals from outside the 3-point arc…Had seven double-digit scoring games, including a pair of 20-plus performances…Established his career high for points at Evangel, scoring 21 in November, later breaking the mark in January at Kansas Wesleyan with 23…Hit a career-high seven 3-point baskets in January’s come-from-behind win over KWU…First double-digit scoring outing was against Central Bible, helping the Pirates to a 38-point win with 16 points in the game…Conference scoring high came at Hannibal-LaGrange, where he buried four from above the arc to score 16 points…Was a 35.2-percent 3-point shooter…Had 12 assists on the year and came up with 15 steals, including three against Peru State in December…Finished the year with 208 points and 24 rebounds. 2008-09 – Played in six games with five points, including a 3-point basket in the 2009 A.I.I. Tournament in Orangeburg, S.C., against Morris…Recorded two minutes in four games, against Rockhurst, Peru State, Bellevue and Morris…Had his only rebound of the season against Morris…Was 2-of-8 from the floor on the season and 1-of-5 from outside the 3-point arc…Had four assists, recording two assists against Peru State, one against Bellevue and another against Morris. PERSONAL – Darin Tyler Price was born in Bloomington, Ind., and is the son of Jenny and Greg Rutledge and Darin Price...Has two siblings...Played high school basketball at Southmont High School in New Market, Ind., where he finished as the second-leading scorer in school history...Was a two-year first-team all-conference performer and was an all-county player for two seasons...Was also on the school’s honor roll...Chose Park University over the University of Saint Francis and Indiana Tech for its business program and the basketball program...Enjoys music when away from the basketball floor. |
