Kyle Rausch
PERSONAL – Kyle Anthony Rausch was born in Kansas City, Mo., and is the son of Kent and Melissa Rausch…Father is a teacher, mother is a music instructor…Has one brother, Collin…A cousin, Alli Rausch, plays soccer at Park University…Played high school basketball and football at Blue Spring South…Was a three-year basketball starter for coach Jimmy Cain and helped the Blue Springs South football team to an 8-2 record and a No. 2 ranking in Missouri at the end of his senior season…Was named first-team all-area, all-district and all-metro in Kansas City and all-conference as a senior wide receiver…Caught nine touchdown passes in his final football season at Blue Springs South, establishing a Suburban Big 8 Conference record…Team was ranked No. 4 to close his junior season…Holds Blue Springs South’s school record for longest touchdown reception at 83 yards…Played both basketball and football at Missouri State University, helping the basketball team to a pair of NIT bids under head coach Barry Hinson…Began his collegiate athletics career on the gridiron for the Bears under head coach Randy Ball…Played in three football games during the 2005 season…In 2005-06, played in 10 basketball games for Missouri State, playing a total of 22 minutes…Tallied a free throw in MSU’s home win over Drake and two in the win over Evansville for his only points…Blocked two shots in his first outing, the Price Cutter Classic semifinal game win over Georgia Southern, and hauled down two of his three rebounds in the home win vs. Arkansas State…Played in 31 games as a sophomore in 2006-07 for the Bears, totaling 68 points and 44 rebounds…Was 56-percent from the field as a sophomore and at the free throw line, knocked down 14-of-19 foul shots…Also recruited by Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Wichita State, Iowa, New Mexico and Indiana State…Off the court, enjoys music, and was involved in his high school’s band…Also involved in FNC College Ministry while at Missouri State…Will major in United States and European history.
