6-5, 205, Sr., F, Monterrey, Mexico (Frank Phillips College)

2009-10 – Earned six starts in 28 games played, averaging 5.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game…Had 11 points in his first action of the season against Central Bible in November and 12 the next day in an overtime win over Evangel…Had seven doublue-figure scoring games, including four 12-point games during the year…Shot 64-percent from the floor and 60-percent at the foul line, hitting 21-of-35 from the line…Made three free throws in the national tournament against Georgetown…Made six shots from the field in a win over William Woods on Feb. 18…2008-09 – Appeared in 13 games, averaging 8.8 minutes per game and nearly two rebounds per outing…Had 16 points on the year, including a career-high six at Peru State and four in a victory at home over nationally ranked Illinois-Springfield…Hit 4-of-6 free-throw attempts and was 6-of-14 from the field as a freshman…Season-high for minutes came at Peru State when he logged 24, coming after a 20-minute performance against Illinois-Springfield…Also played 20 minutes at Rockhurst…Had six steals on the year, including two at College of the Ozarks…Scored his first collegiate points against Doane College in the 2008 Peru State Classic… PERSONAL – Eduardo Quintero was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and is the son of Eduardo and Adriana Quintero...Has one sibling, Sofia...Nickname is Lalo…Played high school basketball at O’Connel Consolidated High School in Galveston, Texas, for head coach Derek Martin...Was First-Team All-State (TAPPS) and was in National Honor Society in high school...Attended Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas...In his spare time, enjoys rock climbing, playing basketball and hanging out with friends and family.
