Three Park Baseball Players Earn NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors
OLATHE, KAN. - Three members of the Park University baseball team have been named Daktronics-NAIA All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2007 season.

All-America Scholar-Athletes must be a junior or above in academic standing and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Senior Ross McCoy (Basehor, Kan.) earned All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the second year in a row, while juniors Jacob Moore (Kansas City, Mo.) and Bo Prather (Kansas City, Mo.) are first-time honorees.

McCoy, a social work major, hit .398 in his final season as a Pirate in 2007, with six homers and 25 RBI.  Moore posted a .286 batting average this year with a pair of RBI and maintained a 3.93 cumulative GPA in business administration/management.  Prather led Park in wins (7) and strikeouts (50) in 2007, compiling a 4.48 ERA.  A criminal justice major, he owns a 3.65 cumulative GPA.

With three baseball honorees, the Park University Athletic Department finishes the 2006-07 academic year with a total of 20 NAIA All-America Scholar-Athletes.
