BATESVILLE, Ark. - Lyon pushed across the game-winning goal with 1:37 remaining in the second overtime to hand Park University men's soccer a 2-1 loss on Tuesday afternoon.

Park (5-4-2, 2-3-2) extended its winless streak to five games (0-3-2) despite coming from behind and dominating play throughout much of the extra stanzas.

After a first half that produced just six total shots, the Pirates fell behind 4:56 into the second half. Robin Hottenbacher played a long cross from the left wing to the far post, where Ulises Cordova headed the ball into the open net.

The equalizer at 62:40 of the match was produced in similar fashion to the goal scored by the Scots. Jesse Jasso (JR/Kansas City, Mo.) fired a corner kick from the left side, where Matheus Teles (FR/Santos, Brazil) ran onto the ball and punched in his first career goal with the Pirates.

Though the Pirates managed just one shot in overtime, they spent the majority of the time possessing the ball in the Lyon end. Teles fired the Park shot in the second extra frame from the top of the box, but the shot sailed over the bar.

Lyon scored the deciding goal in the 109th minute of play despite a strong effort by reserve goalkeeper Peyton LaFerla (SO/Kansas City, Mo.), who came on for Thalu Masindi (JR/London, England) in the second half. He stopped an initial shot by Rodrigo Ugalde, but Cordova was able to poke the rebound into the corner to end the contest.

Park continues its current three-match road trip this Friday, October 13 with a trip to No. 17-ranked Columbia at 7:00 p.m.
