Park University put 28 student-athletes on the AMC's All-Academic Teams.
ST. LOUIS – Nearly 400 American Midwest Conference student-athletes were named AMC All-Academic Honorees, Dec. 9, including 28 from Park University in the 392 total, spread across 13 conference institutions.
The women's soccer team led Park University with 11 AMC All-Academic selections, while women's volleyball and men's soccer each had five on the list. Seven cross country runners represented the Pirates – three from the men's squad and four from the women's side of the program.
To be nominated for the AMC's All-Academic award, a student-athlete must be in his or her second semester with the institution and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. Nominations are made by athletic department officials (athletics directors, sports communications, head coaches) and verified by the conference office via registrars' offices on member campuses.
